An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Jespers in the 18th minute of play forced Zwart Kaarsvet FC's goalkeeper Tony Coosemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, FC Schnauzers's Siebe Naets nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tony Coosemans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Siebe Naets was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Zwart Kaarsvet FC defense, Levi Mertens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Coosemans. The Zwart Kaarsvet FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Coosemans should have stopped the shot. Tony Coosemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siebe Naets in the 57th minute of play. Tony Coosemans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marten Van den Berghe's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute Dave Schipmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurence Geeraerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zwart Kaarsvet FC's Tony Coosemans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Zwart Kaarsvet FC from getting a goal against them. Zwart Kaarsvet FC's Tony Coosemans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Zwart Kaarsvet FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birger Jespers got free with Tony Coosemans in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zwart Kaarsvet FC's Tony Coosemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siebe Naets in the 95th minute of play. When the match was over FC Schnauzers could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zwart Kaarsvet FC throughout the match.
