The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelo Steenberghs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute Glenn Van Acker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Coosemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Zwart Kaarsvet FC's goalkeeper Tony Coosemans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remie Martens. Tony Coosemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Steenberghs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd match minute, AFC Aquitana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Tavares to maneuver through the defense. Tony Coosemans was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Baybora Okkan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. Baybora Okkan might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Coosemans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baybora Okkan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute, Karl Gijselinkx got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Marcos Tavares sped through Zwart Kaarsvet FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tony Coosemans. Baybora Okkan made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Zwart Kaarsvet FC's Karl Gijselinkx. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remie Martens to make the kick off. Zwart Kaarsvet FC's Tony Coosemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Steenberghs in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 minutes, Angelo Steenberghs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Aquitana and the Zwart Kaarsvet FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Angelo Steenberghs hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. With a little luck, AFC Aquitana's Gregory Skouten got control of the ball when Niki De Maret tried to sneak it across the goal line. Niki De Maret scored 3-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gregory Skouten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 3-2 became the score in the 60th minute when Niki De Maret elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 63rd match minute, AFC Aquitana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Van Acker to maneuver through the defense. AFC Aquitana's Gregory Skouten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Aquitana from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute, Angelo Steenberghs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFC Aquitana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. If Angelo Steenberghs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Coosemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remie Martens in the 73rd minute of the match. Glenn Van Acker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the game, Baybora Okkan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Tony Coosemans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Remie Martens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Zwart Kaarsvet FC's goalkeeper Tony Coosemans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baybora Okkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Zwart Kaarsvet FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Albertus Van Landeghem hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Baybora Okkan managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Aquitana's supporters rose to their feet, but Baybora Okkan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Coosemans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Angelo Steenberghs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Remie Martens came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the AFC Aquitana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remie Martens couldn't finish the play. AFC Aquitana walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
