Mateo Savion charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateo Savion the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, KSV Sottegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Savion to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Adolphe Huyberechts in the 5th minute really tested Nélson Brites's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Ferdinando Imperatore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nélson Brites showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Cockaerts in the 22nd minute of the match. Bartjan Stevens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nélson Brites having to interfere. Mateo Savion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Den Hofleverancier getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Bartjan Stevens hit a great ball. In the 37th match minute, Den Hofleverancier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolphe Huyberechts to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, KSV Sottegem's Arkadiusz Domeradzki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carl-Rune Liverød narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 47 played minutes Den Hofleverancier got a freekick which was hit by Kristof De Hoef.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arman Bammerman made a kick off. Johan Rymenans made in the 58th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Bartjan Stevens however managed to control. Den Hofleverancier's Dennis Achenbach managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Raf Rondou in the 63 minute of the game. Raf Rondou made in the 68th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Arman Bammerman immediately put the ball in play. Nélson Brites showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Cockaerts in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Tommy Cockaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nélson Brites saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertan Lyens kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of Den Hofleverancier booed when KSV Sottegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raf Rondou didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, KSV Sottegem's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Cockaerts came free, but Nélson Brites reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tommy Cockaerts came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Den Hofleverancier fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy Cockaerts couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the KSV Sottegem defense, Bartjan Stevens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nélson Brites. The KSV Sottegem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nélson Brites should have stopped the shot. Nélson Brites made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartjan Stevens in the 91st minute of play. Adolphe Huyberechts kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, KSV Sottegem's Arkadiusz Domeradzki broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
