After 8 minutes, Wannes Eggers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BAF Acupunctors and the Sporting Club Anderlecht players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th match minute, BAF Acupunctors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wannes Eggers to maneuver through the defense. Bernardinho Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Dyllan Humbelets tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steff de Vleeschouwer's late challenge caught a BAF Acupunctors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steff de Vleeschouwer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Giles de Pelsmacker sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sporting Club Anderlecht's Mathijs Meeus didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Leme in the 18th minute of play forced BAF Acupunctors's goalkeeper Dyllan Humbelets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Brent-Jan Dewitte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute of the match, Karl Hendrickx got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mathijs Meeus was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Leme in the 26th minute of play forced BAF Acupunctors's goalkeeper Dyllan Humbelets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Sporting Club Anderlecht's Andrez Cerneels tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Brent-Jan Dewitte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Mathijs Meeus made a huge save. Wannes Eggers struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Mathijs Meeus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BAF Acupunctors. With a little luck, Sporting Club Anderlecht's Mathijs Meeus got control of the ball when Brent-Jan Dewitte tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Sporting Club Anderlecht getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Andrez Cerneels hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Bernardinho Leme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Club Anderlecht's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardinho Leme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dyllan Humbelets breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardinho Leme in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dyllan Humbelets prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Andrez Cerneels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The audience was convinced that Bernardinho Leme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dyllan Humbelets was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Sporting Club Anderlecht's Bernardinho Leme got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Bernardinho Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of BAF Acupunctors booed when Sporting Club Anderlecht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luka Dhondt didn't get a good kick on the ball. The BAF Acupunctors manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Sporting Club Anderlecht to win.
