KFC stopt ermee's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zelda Fc the free kick. In the 13th match minute, KFC stopt ermee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaas Decaluwe to maneuver through the defense. Ief Decloedt didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 14th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Ronny Waegemans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronny Waegemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias De Meyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frederick Keldermans's late challenge caught a Zelda Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederick Keldermans helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th minute, Frederick Keldermans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Bram Henrix's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ief Decloedt was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bram Henrix to make the kick off. Zelda Fc's Ief Decloedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bram Henrix in the 53rd minute of play.
