Christiaan De Cocks short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Renaut Hermans to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Patrik Vereect showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kieth Styles, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Club Deinze getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Johny Ourogge hit a great ball. Christiaan De Cock had several of the Club Deinze's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 28 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Renaut Hermans as he didn't even see the shot coming. Lenny Van Glabeeke kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Renaut Hermans made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Christiaan De Cock sent off a good shot on target. Renaut Hermans stood somewhat misplaced when Christiaan De Cock came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 35 minute. 41 minutes into the match, Jesse Sabbe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Renaut Hermans, 4-0. Renaut Hermans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiaan De Cock in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian De kaiser stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jeff Van Hautvinck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeff Van Hautvinck in the 59th minute of play forced Club Deinze's goalkeeper Renaut Hermans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Johny Ourogge fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
