To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robbie Van Achter charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robbie Van Achter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of De Rudies booed when Okapi aalstar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbie Van Achter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jelle Marant's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benny Wiggers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Remy Bekaert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Rudies fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 24 minutes into the match, Okapi aalstar's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Keldermans came free, but Loid De Kepper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jens Thijs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens Thijs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Wiggers having to interfere. Jeffrey Van De Look hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, De Rudies's Marten Scheerens broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Okapi aalstar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens Thijs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Ruud Van Den Eijnde hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, De Rudies's goal looked a bit too open when Jens Thijs came free, but Benny Wiggers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Jelle Marant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Okapi aalstar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jelle Marant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Jens Thijs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Okapi aalstar's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens Thijs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benny Wiggers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Keldermans in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Loid De Kepper saved Okapi aalstar from getting behind. Loid De Kepper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Keldermans in the 73rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jens Thijs got free with Benny Wiggers in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jelle Marant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jelle Marant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89thth minute of the game Jens Thijs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Rudies's Benny Wiggers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ruud Van Den Eijnde hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, De Rudies's goal looked a bit too open when Jelle Marant came free, but Benny Wiggers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 96 minutes, Jens Thijs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
