Diego Verelst made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. De Huppelende Zebras's Tijs Van Gorpt got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tijs Van Gorpt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Verelst having to interfere. Conny Sjöberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Diego Verelst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half De Huppelende Zebras were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as De Huppelende Zebras's Tijs Van Gorpt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Diego Verelst. That made the score 0-4 after 52 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tijs Van Gorpt in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diego Verelst prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the match, DOVO's goal looked a bit too open when Tijs Van Gorpt came free, but Diego Verelst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, DOVO's Armand Denturck got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Tijs Van Gorpt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conny Sjöberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Diego Verelst made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conny Sjöberg got free with Diego Verelst in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Herman Kortens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthis Van Beets, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes De Huppelende Zebras got a freekick which was hit by Gert-Jan Verduyckt. Tijs Van Gorpt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Diego Verelst came out and tried to block the shot, but Tijs Van Gorpt slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 84th minute. After a rather tough play, De Huppelende Zebras's Gert-Jan Verduyckt got a free kick in the 88th minute. 92 minutes into the match, De Huppelende Zebras's goal looked a bit too open when Jochen Goegebeur came free, but Herman Kortens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of DOVO booed when De Huppelende Zebras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert-Jan Verduyckt didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tijs Van Gorpt in the 96th minute of play forced DOVO's goalkeeper Diego Verelst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. De Huppelende Zebras played a much better game than DOVO and deserved their victory. The DOVO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
