Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hugo Voorhof got the match started through his kick off. Emiliano Martínez came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by De Rudies's Remy Bekaert. But to his dismay, Remy Bekaert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in De Rudies's zone, Fabien Mallecots stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benny Wiggers came out of the goal and Fabien Mallecots tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind De Rudies's goalkeeper Benny Wiggers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sint-Niklaas's Emiliano Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remy Bekaert in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Carlos Keldermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benny Wiggers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Voorhof in the 32nd minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Keldermans to strike the kick off in the second half. Sint-Niklaas's Emiliano Martínez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Sint-Niklaas from getting a goal against them. Benny Wiggers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederick Declerck in the 52nd minute of play. In the 67thth minute of the game Frederick Declerck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Rudies's Benny Wiggers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, De Rudies's Fabien Raemakers got a free kick in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Sint-Niklaas's goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mark Meulemans. In the 73rd minute, Remy Bekaert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emiliano Martínez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Emiliano Martínez was a little too slow when Carlos Keldermans got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-3. Benny Wiggers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sint-Niklaas. Axel Weets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of De Rudies:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sint-Niklaas:s goal. The De Rudies supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing De Rudies would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
