Refael Gramet kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Jeffrey Van De Look charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeffrey Van De Look the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute, Jeffrey Van De Look hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Okapi aalstar's Loid De Kepper proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Okapi aalstar from getting a goal against them. Tijs Van Bever received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Loid De Kepper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Okapi aalstar's Loid De Kepper proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Okapi aalstar from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The Okapi aalstar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 93rd minute, Vicente Gijselinx got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chants of Okapi aalstar echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Sporting Lokeren had held the ball for most of the match.
