Spectators: 7968 (Terracing: 5977, Seating: 1833, VIP seats: 158) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rudy Van Eijcke kicked off to start the match. After some careless play in the Storm U18 defense, Tijs Van Gorpt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stefan Rondou. Conny Sjöberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stefan Rondou. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conny Sjöberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Storm U18's Stefan Rondou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Rueda in the 46th minute of play. A collision led to Storm U18 getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Gilian Bauwens hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tijs Van Gorpt to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Tijs Van Gorpt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefan Rondou was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 57th minute, Tijs Van Gorpt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stefan Rondou was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. 62 minutes into the match, De Huppelende Zebras's goal looked a bit too open when Izak De Vriendt came free, but Herman Kortens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Billy de Nooter hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Tijs Van Gorpt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Huppelende Zebras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. Stefan Rondou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tijs Van Gorpt in the 69th minute of play. Stefan Rondou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tijs Van Gorpt, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as De Huppelende Zebras's Tijs Van Gorpt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stefan Rondou. That made the score 1-7 after 72 minutes of play. After 75 minutes of play, De Huppelende Zebras's Conny Sjöberg made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stefan Rondou was left in no man's land by his defense there! 80 minutes into the match, Tijs Van Gorpt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stefan Rondou, 1-9. Herman Kortens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudy Van Eijcke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tijs Van Gorpt fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Huppelende Zebras's protests and gave Tijs Van Gorpt a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Storm U18 booed when De Huppelende Zebras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tijs Van Gorpt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rudy Van Eijcke hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Storm U18's goal looked a bit too open when Tijs Van Gorpt came free, but Stefan Rondou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Storm U18's Stefan Rondou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tijs Van Gorpt in the 93rd minute of play. Storm U18's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alex Rueda 95 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-10. The De Huppelende Zebras supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing De Huppelende Zebras would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
