Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alex Sproten took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience was convinced that Sebbe Conincx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Loid De Kepper was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. 5 minutes into the match, Okapi aalstar's Jens Thijs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claude Renotte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Loid De Kepper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Sproten in the 10th minute of play. Claude Renotte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeffrey Van De Look, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Kroeters's Wouter Oelaerts got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Alex Sproten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Okapi aalstar's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Sproten came free, but Loid De Kepper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jelle Marant got free with Claude Renotte in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claude Renotte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens Thijs in the 38th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Jelle Marant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Okapi aalstar's Jens Thijs slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claude Renotte. That made the score 1-0 after 46 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens Thijs was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of FC Kroeters booed when Okapi aalstar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbie Van Achter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommi De Bruyn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommi De Bruyn in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Loid De Kepper, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommi De Bruyn got free with Loid De Kepper in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Loid De Kepper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Sproten, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. If Jens Thijs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Georges-Philippe Mampaerts fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Kroeters's protests and gave Georges-Philippe Mampaerts a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Okapi aalstar booed when FC Kroeters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georges-Philippe Mampaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jens Thijs came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Okapi aalstar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens Thijs couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the match, FC Kroeters's goal looked a bit too open when Jelle Marant came free, but Claude Renotte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jens Thijs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claude Renotte having to interfere. FC Kroeters's Claude Renotte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jelle Marant in the 73rd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Jelle Marant ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claude Renotte was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebbe Conincx got free with Loid De Kepper in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tommi De Bruyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Tommi De Bruyn managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Kroeters's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommi De Bruyn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loid De Kepper breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alex Sproten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Loid De Kepper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Okapi aalstar's Loid De Kepper proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Okapi aalstar from getting a goal against them. Jelle Marant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Sproten charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Sproten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alex Sproten hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. If Jens Thijs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claude Renotte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens Thijs, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Jelle Marant struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Claude Renotte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Okapi aalstar. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Kroeters players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Okapi aalstar.
