Sporting Lokeren's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aslan Spor32 the free kick. The supporters of Aslan Spor32 booed when Sporting Lokeren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Iwens didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Lokeren's goalkeeper Remy Bergcreutz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aslan Spor32's Sebastian Van Bouschot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Aslan Spor32 from getting a goal against them. Matty Hauwaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th play minute Sylvan Theys came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sebastian Van Bouschot. 2-0. In the 31st match minute, Aslan Spor32 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Vanooteghem to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the game, Robert Onofrei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Remy Bergcreutz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Bjorn Omblets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Sylvan Theys managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Lokeren's supporters rose to their feet, but Sylvan Theys was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Van Bouschot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cederique Van Hoght hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Aslan Spor32's Robert Onofrei got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sylvan Theys was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Aslan Spor32 defense, Baltazar da Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastian Van Bouschot. The Aslan Spor32 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastian Van Bouschot should have stopped the shot. Remy Bergcreutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Onofrei in the 56th minute of play. After some careless play in the Aslan Spor32 defense, Baltazar da Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastian Van Bouschot. The Aslan Spor32 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastian Van Bouschot should have stopped the shot. Remy Bergcreutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Onofrei in the 63rd minute of play. Mathieu Bosmans struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Remy Bergcreutz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aslan Spor32. Sebastian Van Bouschot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar da Silveira in the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to Sporting Lokeren getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Cederique Van Hoght hit a great ball. Remy Bergcreutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Onofrei in the 69th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Aslan Spor32's Robert Onofrei slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Remy Bergcreutz. That made the score 4-2 after 71 minutes of play. With his leg Remy Bergcreutz managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Aslan Spor32's Joris Cempenaers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Remy Bergcreutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Onofrei, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 89th minute, Sporting Lokeren's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mathieu Bosmans fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 92nd minute Sylvan Theys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Van Bouschot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Baltazar da Silveira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. Sebastian Van Bouschot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sporting Lokeren had played much better football throughout.
