Jochen Goegebeur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute, Izak Louis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DOVO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 34 played minutes Club Deinze got a freekick which was hit by Sergio De Custer. Izak Louis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Renaut Hermans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in DOVO's zone, Sebastian De kaiser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Verelst came out of the goal and Sebastian De kaiser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebastian De kaiser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kieth Styles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Diego Verelst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Izak Louis to make the kick off. Lenny Van Glabeeke charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lenny Van Glabeeke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, DOVO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthis Van Beets to maneuver through the defense. DOVO's supporters rose to their feet, but Jochen Goegebeur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renaut Hermans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christopher Sanders lost his temper 67 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 66th minute, one of DOVO:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for DOVO. Ray Wortelaert placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Diego Verelst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kieth Styles in the 71st minute of the match. Matthis Van Beets's late challenge caught a Club Deinze's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthis Van Beets helped the player get up and apologised. Ray Wortelaert took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Diego Verelst. DOVO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Sebastian De kaiser came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Club Deinze fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian De kaiser couldn't finish the play. DOVO's Diego Verelst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kieth Styles in the 84th minute of play. When Kieth Styles came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Club Deinze fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kieth Styles couldn't finish the play. Diego Verelst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian De kaiser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chants of DOVO echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Club Deinze had held the ball for most of the match.
