If Conny Sjöberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 7 minutes of play, De Huppelende Zebras's Alex Rueda made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renaut Hermans was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute, Tijs Van Gorpt made a precise shot to the right of Renaut Hermans. Club Deinze's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deinze's zone, Conny Sjöberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renaut Hermans came out of the goal and Conny Sjöberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herman Kortens was a little too slow when Johny Ourogge got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 23rd minute Conny Sjöberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renaut Hermans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renaut Hermans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tijs Van Gorpt's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Club Deinze's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Rueda came free, but Renaut Hermans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 minutes of play, De Huppelende Zebras's Tijs Van Gorpt made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renaut Hermans was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Tijs Van Gorpt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Renaut Hermans was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Renaut Hermans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tijs Van Gorpt went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian De kaiser made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Club Deinze's Jeremie Louis got a free kick in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaetan De Coninck in the 53rd minute of play forced Club Deinze's goalkeeper Renaut Hermans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renaut Hermans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jo Gallot in the 55th minute of the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Conny Sjöberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Huppelende Zebras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conny Sjöberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tijs Van Gorpt in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renaut Hermans saved Club Deinze from getting behind. 63 minutes into the game, Club Deinze's Sebastian De kaiser nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herman Kortens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. 67 minutes into the match, Club Deinze's goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Goebelens came free, but Renaut Hermans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conny Sjöberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Renaut Hermans skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 71 minutes into the game, Kieth Styles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deinze's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Huppelende Zebras the free kick. The supporters of De Huppelende Zebras booed when Club Deinze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kieth Styles didn't get a good kick on the ball. De Huppelende Zebras's Tijs Van Gorpt got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Renaut Hermans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conny Sjöberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 88th minute, Tijs Van Gorpt made a precise shot to the right of Renaut Hermans. Club Deinze's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerry Goebelens got free with Renaut Hermans in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded De Huppelende Zebras left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Deinze.
