When Ruud Van Den Eijnde fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Rudies's protests and gave Ruud Van Den Eijnde a yellow card for diving instead. Ruud Van Den Eijnde kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Remy Bekaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Claude Renotte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th match minute, FC Kroeters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Van Damme to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, De Rudies's goalkeeper Benny Wiggers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebbe Conincx. FC Kroeters were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after De Rudies's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicolas Van Damme took the corner. Tommi De Bruyn was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Keldermans in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claude Renotte saved FC Kroeters from getting behind. Bill Kant charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bill Kant the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of De Rudies booed when FC Kroeters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bill Kant didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benny Wiggers came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Kroeters's Tommi De Bruyn. But to his dismay, Tommi De Bruyn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Alex Sproten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. De Rudies's Remy Bekaert got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claude Renotte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Keldermans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Kroeters's Alex Sproten got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of FC Kroeters booed when De Rudies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marten Scheerens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benny Wiggers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Sproten, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Keldermans was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to De Rudies getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cedrik Coremans hit a great ball. Nicolas Van Damme, 54 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Tommi De Bruyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benny Wiggers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommi De Bruyn in the 59th minute of the match. Alex Sproten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Benny Wiggers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Kroeters! Marten Scheerens shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Claude Renotte came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by De Rudies's Remy Bekaert. But to his dismay, Remy Bekaert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Alex Sproten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Tommi De Bruyn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benny Wiggers was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Benny Wiggers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommi De Bruyn in the 82nd minute of play. Nicolas Van Damme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Benny Wiggers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Sproten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benny Wiggers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommi De Bruyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Luuk Justens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Rudies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kroeters the free kick. A collision led to De Rudies getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Luuk Justens hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tommi De Bruyn in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benny Wiggers prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
