Spectators: 6936 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 100) SC Retie's Ernest Van Eede started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Reinaert Raeimakers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Oxford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinaert Raeimakers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SC Retie getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Kenney Robijns hit a great ball. With a little luck, SC Retie's Bram De Block got control of the ball when Andy Uytdebroeck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reinaert Raeimakers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Bram De Block tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Louis-Philippe Beets's late challenge caught a SC Retie's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Louis-Philippe Beets helped the player get up and apologised. Louis-Philippe Beets hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the game, Sylvan Klopterop was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Retie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Oxford the free kick. After recieving a nice pass, Fc Oxford's Gert Verheyen tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With his leg Bram De Block managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Fc Oxford's Reinaert Raeimakers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 24th minute, Reinaert Raeimakers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fc Oxford fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. SC Retie's Ernest Van Eede suffered a torn muscle in his foot after 29 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thibaud Van der Weijden during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fc Oxford! Cederic De Wortelaers walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 34th minute, Sylvan Klopterop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fabrice Mallaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Terry Van Meerbeek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Steffen Kortens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Fc Oxford's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrice Mallaerts came free, but Steffen Kortens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenney Stuckers charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kenney Stuckers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 played minutes Fc Oxford got a freekick which was hit by Kenney Stuckers. With a little luck, SC Retie's Bram De Block got control of the ball when Reinaert Raeimakers tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andy Uytdebroeck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in SC Retie's zone, Andy Uytdebroeck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bram De Block came out of the goal and Andy Uytdebroeck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd minute, Reinaert Raeimakers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 68 minutes, Fabrice Mallaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Retie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabrice Mallaerts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Steffen Kortens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terry Van Meerbeek, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Reinaert Raeimakers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Bram De Block tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andy Uytdebroeck in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bram De Block prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Fc Oxford's Andy Uytdebroeck in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Retie's goalie prevented a goal. SC Retie's Bram De Block played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Uytdebroeck in the 82nd minute of play. If Andy Uytdebroeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabrice Mallaerts scored 2-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Steffen Kortens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaert Raeimakers in the 95th minute of play forced SC Retie's goalkeeper Bram De Block to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
