Fighters Against Cancer's Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steffen De Wever in the 16th minute of play. Steffen De Wever received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Fighters Against Cancer getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Sven Pineurs hit a great ball. Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steffen De Wever, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Jerry Verhaghen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven made a huge save. Jerry Verhaghen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven having to interfere. Willem Verheijden might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reinaert Neirynck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willem Verheijden ran back to his position shaking his head. Jerry Verhaghen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steffen De Wever was extremely unlucky when he, in the 42nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 45 played minutes Fighters Against Cancer got a freekick which was hit by Mattheo Van Leemputt. In the 47th match minute, Fighters Against Cancer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christofere Vandommele to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Steffen De Wever to make the kick off. When Jerry Verhaghen came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Sporting Ledeseyde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerry Verhaghen couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steffen De Wever in the 67th minute of play forced Fighters Against Cancer's goalkeeper Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Steffen De Wever's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Jerry Verhaghen took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven. Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Willem Verheijden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willem Verheijden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaert Neirynck having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Sporting Ledeseyde's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Pineurs came free, but Reinaert Neirynck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Steffen De Wever got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fighters Against Cancer players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sporting Ledeseyde.
