An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Van Eede in the 3rd minute of play forced PELT VV's goalkeeper Joannes Antheunis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joannes Antheunis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernest Van Eede's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Bram De Block came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by PELT VV's Jannic De Wilde. But to his dismay, Jannic De Wilde quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Lauren Van Den Abeele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Bram De Block tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lauren Van Den Abeele struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Bram De Block didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PELT VV. In the 17th minute Cedrik De Muysere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bram De Block saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Retie's Fabrice Mallaerts got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Retie's goalkeeper Bram De Block, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. PELT VV's Cedrik De Muysere got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lauren Van Den Abeele got free with Bram De Block in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Terry Van Meerbeek hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Cedrik De Muysere blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bram De Block having to make a save. With an all-out effort, PELT VV's Bram De Block threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cedrik De Muysere, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Cedrik De Muysere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cedrik De Muysere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cedrik De Muysere was the one to do the kick off. Bram De Block showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cedrik De Muysere, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Fabrice Mallaerts's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Joannes Antheunis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 57th minute, Fabrice Mallaerts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joannes Antheunis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to SC Retie getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Terry Van Meerbeek hit a great ball. Terry Van Meerbeek hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrice Mallaerts got free with Joannes Antheunis in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th match minute, PELT VV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pieter-Maarten Matthieu to maneuver through the defense. Joannes Antheunis acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 87th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cederic De Wortelaers. 92 minutes into the match, PELT VV's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Van Eede came free, but Joannes Antheunis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
