Waterhoek's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Dany-Adams De Cock scored to the left of an out of position Daniel Elsens, making the score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias de Pelsmakere in the 24th minute of play forced Waterhoek's goalkeeper Daniel Elsens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswald Rymenans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Rens Haesevoets tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jannick Van Der Talen took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Elsens. Daniel Elsens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Rens Haesevoets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel De Haes, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Greg Dechamps's late challenge caught a KFC Bomal-Sur-Ourthe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Greg Dechamps helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of KFC Bomal-Sur-Ourthe booed when Waterhoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oswald Rymenans to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Edgard Depelsmaker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Oswald Rymenans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oswald Rymenans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Rens Haesevoets when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 58th minute Edgard Depelsmaker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Elsens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Elsens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dany-Adams De Cock, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. KFC Bomal-Sur-Ourthe's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vic Sevenans 63 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. Thanks to some nice moves Oswald Rymenans could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Rens Haesevoets however easily saved by the left post. When Greg Dechamps came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Waterhoek fans jumped to their feet. Daniel Elsens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Depelsmaker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Waterhoek defense, Edgard Depelsmaker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Elsens. The Waterhoek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Elsens should have stopped the shot. Elias de Pelsmakere kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswald Rymenans got free with Rens Haesevoets in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 89 minutes, Oswald Rymenans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waterhoek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswald Rymenans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vic Sevenans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KFC Bomal-Sur-Ourthe's Rens Haesevoets proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save KFC Bomal-Sur-Ourthe from getting a goal against them. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
