The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Greg Dechamps fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Waterhoek's protests and gave Greg Dechamps a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, Waterhoek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Greg Dechamps to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Waterhoek's Joris Maerschalk got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Roosendael in the 25th minute of play forced Waterhoek's goalkeeper Daniel Elsens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Joris Maerschalk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waterhoek's Daniel Elsens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommi Keuppens in the 30th minute of play. Daniel Elsens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Roosendael in the 36th minute of the match. Edgard Roosendael received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Daniel Elsens came out and tried to block the shot, but Edgard Roosendael slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 43rd minute.

Mitch Wortelers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claude Portai, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mickael Decaluwe during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Waterhoek booed when Moleneind was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mickael Decaluwe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waterhoek's Claude Portai got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Elsens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgard Roosendael went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score.
