Spectators: 6839 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 0) Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evert-Jan Vercasteren in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Ketelers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Staak's zone, Geoffry Stuyck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Volders came out of the goal and Geoffry Stuyck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove's Bartjan Kerstens looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Vince Adriaens fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Staak's protests and gave Vince Adriaens a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Staak! Loid Van Cleynenbreugel walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 19 minutes of play, KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove's Bartjan Kerstens made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Volders was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Geoffry Stuyck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Volders was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. 26 minutes into the game, KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove's Geoffry Stuyck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Volders made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. David Volders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geoffry Stuyck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Volders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartjan Kerstens in the 31st minute of play. Staak's David Volders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartjan Kerstens in the 32nd minute of play. David Volders stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geoffry Stuyck's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartjan Kerstens in the 36th minute of play forced Staak's goalkeeper David Volders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niki Langhmans during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Staak booed when KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niki Langhmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bartjan Kerstens came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartjan Kerstens couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Staak's zone, Geoffry Stuyck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Volders came out of the goal and Geoffry Stuyck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Staak defense, Bartjan Kerstens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Volders. The Staak fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Volders should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evert-Jan Vercasteren made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Bartjan Kerstens took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for David Volders to make any attempt to save it. If Roel Van Huyck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute Evert-Jan Vercasteren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Ketelers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th match minute, KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robby Verheecke to maneuver through the defense. If Bartjan Kerstens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th match minute, KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoffry Stuyck to maneuver through the defense. David Volders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartjan Kerstens in the 71st minute of play. Evert-Jan Vercasteren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roel Van Huyck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, Geoffry Stuyck made a precise shot to the right of David Volders. Staak's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. 83 minutes into the match, KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove's goal looked a bit too open when Camiel Leroy came free, but Vicente Ketelers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Staak booed when KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Vanden Bussche didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Evert-Jan Vercasteren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geoffry Stuyck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. David Volders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Geoffry Stuyck managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove's supporters rose to their feet, but Geoffry Stuyck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Volders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Camiel Leroy's late challenge caught a KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camiel Leroy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Camiel Leroy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute of the match KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove got a corner. Staak's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Loid Van Cleynenbreugel ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Teo Vloeberghs heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. KFC Velzeke-Ruddershove's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
