Spectators: 6840 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Evert-Jan Vercasteren started the match with the kick off. Karel Portai hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Jannes De Weijngaerden took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Volders. David Volders dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Camiel Leroy got free with Cederique Jamieson in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 13 played minutes Kings of Neon got a freekick which was hit by Jeremie Huysmans. In the 20th minute, Staak's Evert-Jan Vercasteren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cederique Jamieson. Cederique Jamieson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jannes De Weijngaerden in the 26th minute of play forced Staak's goalkeeper David Volders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kings of Neon's Cederique Jamieson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Kings of Neon from getting a goal against them. Roel Van Huyck in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cederique Jamieson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kings of Neon's Cederique Jamieson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert-Jan Vercasteren in the 44th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jannes De Weijngaerden to make the kick off. Kings of Neon's attentive Fred Biermans managed to snatch the ball when Gino Stas made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. 53 minutes into the game, Fre Lanphant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Staak's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kings of Neon the free kick. A collision led to Staak getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Fre Lanphant hit a great ball. Kings of Neon's Jannes De Weijngaerden was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 75th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Jannes De Weijngaerden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kings of Neon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jannes De Weijngaerden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Gino Stas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karel Portai received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Volders came out and tried to block the shot, but Karel Portai slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 84th minute. Cederique Jamieson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roel Van Huyck, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 93rd match minute, Kings of Neon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gwen Fabry to maneuver through the defense. The Kings of Neon supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kings of Neon would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
