Spectators: 7970 (Terracing: 5979, Seating: 1833, VIP seats: 158) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Luka Grootjans got the match started through his kick off. Sebastian Roscams recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 5th minute Luka Grootjans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Volders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Roel Van Huyck notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of The Olympians's Ludomil Noworolnik. Ludomil Noworolnik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. David Volders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luka Grootjans, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After having played for 13 minutes, Roel Van Huyck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Staak's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roel Van Huyck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, The Olympians's Josef De Keyser got a free kick in the 14th minute. David Volders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luka Grootjans in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Roscams got free with David Volders in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luka Grootjans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Volders having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Christofere Pacolet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tony Van Beersel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ludomil Noworolnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roel Van Huyck in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 played minutes The Olympians got a freekick which was hit by Josef De Keyser. After 38 minutes, Christofere Pacolet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Olympians and the Staak players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes The Olympians got a freekick which was hit by Christofere Pacolet. 40 minutes into the match, Staak's goalkeeper David Volders had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Roscams. Evert-Jan Vercasteren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Staak's David Volders got control of the ball when Sebastian Roscams tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 46 played minutes The Olympians got a freekick which was hit by Geoffrey Ravoet. Christofere Pacolet got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Staak booed when The Olympians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christofere Pacolet didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evert-Jan Vercasteren was the one to do the kick off. Camiel Leroy hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The supporters of Staak booed when The Olympians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Roscams didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Evert-Jan Vercasteren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Staak's supporters rose to their feet, but Evert-Jan Vercasteren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ludomil Noworolnik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sebastian Roscams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Luka Grootjans came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the The Olympians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luka Grootjans couldn't finish the play. After having played for 69 minutes, Sebastian Roscams managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Olympians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Roscams was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luka Grootjans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. David Volders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luka Grootjans, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Evert-Jan Vercasteren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludomil Noworolnik having to interfere. A very good chance. 98 minutes into the match, The Olympians's goal looked a bit too open when Evert-Jan Vercasteren came free, but Ludomil Noworolnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
