Spectators: 7441 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arsene Smets kicked off to start the match. Charl Ravoet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thibaud De Vriendt having to interfere. Alex Van Eersel's late challenge caught a Kota 1 FC ™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Van Eersel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, ZwickRoell Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Van Eersel to maneuver through the defense. Kota 1 FC ™'s Tristan Vanden Berghe got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfons Pauwels during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tristan Vanden Berghe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thibaud De Vriendt having to make a save. Charl Ravoet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thibaud De Vriendt having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Kota 1 FC ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Mathieu Ramps came free, but Frank Leers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Kota 1 FC ™'s Raymond Liebrechts got a free kick in the 26th minute. Mathieu Ramps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Frank Leers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Alfons Pauwels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thibaud De Vriendt made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Tristan Vanden Berghe sent off a good shot on target. If Arsene Smets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charl Ravoet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 48th minute Charl Ravoet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thibaud De Vriendt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tristan Vanden Berghe to strike the kick off in the second half. During the 54th minute of the match Alfons Pauwels completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alfons Pauwels a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Kota 1 FC ™ booed when ZwickRoell Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfons Pauwels didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 played minutes ZwickRoell Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Mathieu Ramps. Mathieu Ramps fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Leers having to interfere. The Kota 1 FC ™ fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Kota 1 FC ™'s Tristan Vanden Berghe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Gilbert De Wulf fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ZwickRoell Sport Club's protests and gave Gilbert De Wulf a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in ZwickRoell Sport Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! Constant Rondas shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Arsene Smets hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Tristan Vanden Berghe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thibaud De Vriendt was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. When Tristan Vanden Berghe got free in front of the goal in the 81st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Thibaud De Vriendt was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Thibaud De Vriendt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charl Ravoet in the 83rd minute of the match. Frank Leers made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Mathieu Ramps sent off a good shot on target. Thibaud De Vriendt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tristan Vanden Berghe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94thth minute of the game Tristan Vanden Berghe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ZwickRoell Sport Club's Thibaud De Vriendt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. ZwickRoell Sport Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
