Thomas Van de Gaer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Mesmakers in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to Arrakis getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Herve Weijnants hit a great ball. Arrakis's Constantijn Gendre got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arrakis were furious when Johnny Bossuyt was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 16 minutes into the game, one of Arrakis:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tommas Van Bombergen placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Thomas Van de Gaer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert-Jan Meeus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dre Van den Maegdenbergh hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Joop Huyghebaert got a free kick in the 30th minute. Geert-Jan Van den Maegdenbergh hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Alan Mesmakers might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Van de Gaer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alan Mesmakers ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alan Mesmakers in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Van de Gaer prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Kasper Decloedt kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Isidro Calisto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantijn Gendre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas Van de Gaer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Mesmakers in the 55th minute of play. Herve Weijnants charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herve Weijnants the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thomas Van de Gaer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Mesmakers in the 62nd minute of the match. Thomas Van de Gaer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alan Mesmakers went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arrakis's goalkeeper Thomas Van de Gaer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thomas Van de Gaer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Mesmakers in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Mesmakers in the 80th minute of play forced Arrakis's goalkeeper Thomas Van de Gaer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rdth minute of the game Constantijn Gendre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Isidro Calisto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 96th minute of the match, Alan Mesmakers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thomas Van de Gaer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen played a much better game than Arrakis and deserved their victory. The Arrakis players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
