When Tommas Van Bombergen came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Patro Eisden Maasmechelen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommas Van Bombergen couldn't finish the play. Joop Huyghebaert hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Joop Huyghebaert took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Laurent Schoenmakers to make any attempt to save it. If Dimitri Van Hooveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Joop Huyghebaert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's supporters rose to their feet, but Joop Huyghebaert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurent Schoenmakers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laurent Schoenmakers was a little too slow when Dimitri Van Hooveldt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 3-0. Didier Lefevre hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Daevy Masculier got a free kick in the 35th minute. Dimitri Van Hooveldt had several of the FCS Pekmere's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 37 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 5-0 score and a disappointed Laurent Schoenmakers as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 41st minute, Dimitri Van Hooveldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Patro Eisden Maasmechelen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. In the 45th match minute, FCS Pekmere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Verduyckt to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th play minute Joop Huyghebaert came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Laurent Schoenmakers. 7-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Freddy Verbeeck made the kick off in the second half. When Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Dimitri Van Hooveldt in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Isidro Calisto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Verbeeck in the 55th minute of play. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Freddy Verbeeck scored to the left of an out of position Isidro Calisto, making the score, 7-1. Isidro Calisto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Verbeeck in the 61st minute of the match. Tommas Van Bombergen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, FCS Pekmere's goal looked a bit too open when Joop Huyghebaert came free, but Laurent Schoenmakers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Joop Huyghebaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Robin Verduyckt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. FCS Pekmere's Didier Lefevre got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Dimitri Van Hooveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimitri Van Hooveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurent Schoenmakers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dimitri Van Hooveldt fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's protests and gave Dimitri Van Hooveldt a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FCS Pekmere booed when Patro Eisden Maasmechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitri Van Hooveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
