A very good chance. 23 minutes into the game, Herman Demeulemeester was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. But Anderlecht AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 2860 Linksback the free kick. Herman Demeulemeester hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 27thth minute of the game Gino Van Meerbeeck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 2860 Linksback's Tom Van Bouschot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luke Du Molin kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Corneel Reiniers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter-Jan Deflandre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Corneel Reiniers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerard Dauwen in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Luke Du Molin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peter-Jan Deflandre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Corneel Reiniers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gino Van Meerbeeck made a kick off. After 53 minutes of play, 2860 Linksback's Peter-Jan Deflandre made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Corneel Reiniers was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Peter-Jan Deflandre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gino Van Meerbeeck came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the But Anderlecht AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gino Van Meerbeeck couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerard Dauwen in the 62nd minute of play forced But Anderlecht AC's goalkeeper Corneel Reiniers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 played minutes But Anderlecht AC got a freekick which was hit by Danny van der Eycken. After recieving a nice pass, 2860 Linksback's Maurice Vinckx tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Gino Van Meerbeeck came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the But Anderlecht AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gino Van Meerbeeck couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, Gaetan Van Beveren fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tom Van Bouschot, passed just outside the right post. If Peter-Jan Deflandre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corneel Reiniers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter-Jan Deflandre, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in But Anderlecht AC's zone, Peter-Jan Deflandre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corneel Reiniers came out of the goal and Peter-Jan Deflandre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kenney Wynaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. 2860 Linksback had won after a very even match.
