Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Freddy Verbeeck started the match with the kick off. A collision led to FCS Pekmere getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Robrecht Van Casteren hit a great ball. Bartjan Van de kauter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Norbert De Cerpel went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gill Wortelaert kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes Club Brugge KV got a freekick which was hit by Alex Weggers. 19 minutes into the match, Club Brugge KV's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Verduyckt came free, but Bartjan Van de kauter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Verduyckt in the 20th minute of play forced Club Brugge KV's goalkeeper Bartjan Van de kauter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Robin Verduyckt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartjan Van de kauter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freddy Verbeeck in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bartjan Van de kauter saved Club Brugge KV from getting behind. Robin Verduyckt took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bartjan Van de kauter. Bartjan Van de kauter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robin Verduyckt in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bartjan Van de kauter saved Club Brugge KV from getting behind. After 33 minutes, Jesse Van Boeckost mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Brugge KV and the FCS Pekmere players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Jesse Van Boeckost hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arno Vercruysse in the 43rd minute of play forced FCS Pekmere's goalkeeper Laurent Schoenmakers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Brugge KV's Stan De Custer shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 46th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Laurent Schoenmakers but with some difficulty. Lennart Van den Bossche could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Laurent Schoenmakers made a huge save. The Club Brugge KV players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FCS Pekmere were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lennart Van den Bossche was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, FCS Pekmere's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Van den Bossche came free, but Laurent Schoenmakers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Club Brugge KV's Bartjan Van de kauter got control of the ball when Robin Verduyckt tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Arno Vercruysse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Brugge KV's supporters rose to their feet, but Arno Vercruysse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurent Schoenmakers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bartjan Van de kauter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Verbeeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Bartjan Van de kauter made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Jesse Cockx sent off a good shot on target. Club Brugge KV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Freddy Verbeeck scored to the left of an out of position Bartjan Van de kauter, making the score, 0-3. Bartjan Van de kauter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didier Lefevre, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Lennart Van den Bossche fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Brugge KV's protests and gave Lennart Van den Bossche a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd match minute, Club Brugge KV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart Van den Bossche to maneuver through the defense. Lennart Van den Bossche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brian Van de Weijer got a throw-in 89 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Robrecht Van Casteren. The Club Brugge KV fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FCS Pekmere were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
