Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Joop Huyghebaert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thibaud Camps stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitri Van Hooveldt's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Ruddervoorde's Thibaud Camps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert-Jan Meeus in the 19th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Ruddervoorde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacques Van Impe to maneuver through the defense. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Isidro Calisto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Van de Gaer in the 29th minute of play. Thibaud Camps showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitri Van Hooveldt in the 31st minute of the match. Dimitri Van Hooveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Thibaud Camps tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thibaud Camps stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitri Van Hooveldt's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Dimitri Van Hooveldt struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Thibaud Camps didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patro Eisden Maasmechelen. Isidro Calisto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Van de Gaer, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filip Van de Gaer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Jacques Van Impe fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ruddervoorde's protests and gave Jacques Van Impe a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ruddervoorde getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jacques Van Impe hit a great ball. After 61 minutes, Jacque Devaux mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Patro Eisden Maasmechelen and the Ruddervoorde players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Isidro Calisto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Patro Eisden Maasmechelen from getting a goal against them. 67 minutes into the game, Filip Van de Gaer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ruddervoorde's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Patro Eisden Maasmechelen the free kick. Ruddervoorde's Thibaud Camps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitri Van Hooveldt in the 69th minute of play. After 82 minutes Ruddervoorde's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tommas Van Bombergen who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Joop Huyghebaert heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Van de Gaer in the 85th minute of play forced Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's goalkeeper Isidro Calisto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th match minute, Patro Eisden Maasmechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evert-Jan Meeus to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Isidro Calisto managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Ruddervoorde's Pierre-Paul Van Cleynenbreugel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Isidro Calisto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Van de Gaer in the 92nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dimitri Van Hooveldt in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thibaud Camps saved Ruddervoorde from getting behind. With a little luck, Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Isidro Calisto got control of the ball when Pierre-Paul Van Cleynenbreugel tried to sneak it across the goal line. There was no doubt that Patro Eisden Maasmechelen were the better team. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
