Joannes Heremans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidro Calisto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Joannes Heremans made a precise shot to the right of Isidro Calisto. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Joannes Heremans kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's zone, Sven Luijten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Calisto came out of the goal and Sven Luijten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joannes Heremans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joannes Heremans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 31 minutes into the match, Racing Tienen's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitri Van Hooveldt came free, but Luk Herpoel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henri-Xavier Delen kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Joannes Heremans did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Isidro Calisto 36 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's goalkeeper Isidro Calisto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven Luijten. Jacque Devaux took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luk Herpoel. Luk Herpoel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Dimitri Van Hooveldt made the kick off in the second half. Isidro Calisto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joannes Heremans, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitri Van Hooveldt in the 63rd minute of play forced Racing Tienen's goalkeeper Luk Herpoel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Karel-Jan Stoorms made a precise shot to the right of Isidro Calisto. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Dimitri Van Hooveldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luk Herpoel having to make a save. 76 minutes into the game, Racing Tienen's Sven Luijten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isidro Calisto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Racing Tienen's Luk Herpoel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesse Van Adorp in the 83rd minute of play. Isidro Calisto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joannes Heremans's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After having played for 89 minutes, Joannes Heremans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Tienen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joannes Heremans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute Dimitri Van Hooveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luk Herpoel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
