The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Richmond Mesmaeckers put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Westkust:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dynamo Marx:s goal. Carel Huysmans placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 14 minutes into the match, Westkust's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Musseeuw came free, but Magne Giliusson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boris Musseeuw might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Magne Giliusson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boris Musseeuw ran back to his position shaking his head. Glen Imbreghts blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magne Giliusson having to make a save. Gonzalo Jenaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thys Geraerts having to interfere. Glen Imbreghts struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Magne Giliusson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dynamo Marx. 38 minutes into the match, Westkust's goalkeeper Magne Giliusson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glen Imbreghts. With his leg Magne Giliusson managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Dynamo Marx's Glen Imbreghts fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Westkust defense, Roger De Mol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magne Giliusson. The Westkust fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magne Giliusson should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

If Boris Musseeuw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Glen Imbreghts blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magne Giliusson having to make a save. Magne Giliusson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boris Musseeuw in the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Glen Imbreghts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Magne Giliusson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 63 minutes into the game, Carel Huysmans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dynamo Marx's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Westkust the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Carel Huysmans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carel Huysmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magne Giliusson having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Boris Musseeuw's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Magne Giliusson was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Gonzalo Jenaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Thys Geraerts made a huge save. If Boris Musseeuw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glen Imbreghts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Davy Neys hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Dynamo Marx walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
