In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Spartak Lier's goalkeeper Lucjan Domala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, RSC Sint-Gillis-Waas's Matthieu de Wolf got a free kick in the 31st minute. Lucjan Domala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yanis Terreur in the 38th minute. Lucjan Domala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubert Hollandts in the 45th minute of play. If Hubert Hollandts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Spartak Lier's Lucjan Domala got control of the ball when Yanis Terreur tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucjan Domala came out of the goal and Hubert Hollandts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. RSC Sint-Gillis-Waas's Yanis Terreur got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christiaan Bastin charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christiaan Bastin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Christiaan Bastin hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Yanis Terreur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucjan Domala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Christiaan Bastin threw the ball into play from the sideline.
