When Dan Klaes came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the KV Ertvelde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Klaes couldn't finish the play. Florian Swiggers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Krabbe, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. When Cesar Krabbe came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the KV Ertvelde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Krabbe couldn't finish the play. After the first half KV Ertvelde were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cesar Krabbe to strike the kick off in the second half. Yves Diericx kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Dan Klaes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florian Swiggers was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Florian Swiggers acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nicky De Bruijn. Sven den Pelsmaeker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbe Ketelers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kristen Huybrechts charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kristen Huybrechts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Oteppe getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Kristen Huybrechts hit a great ball. If Dan Klaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Florian Swiggers managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when KV Ertvelde's Dan Klaes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. KV Ertvelde played a much better game than Oteppe and deserved their victory. The Oteppe players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
