Gino Van Haeght made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Binjamin De Greef in the 6th minute of play. Evert Meeuwissen got a throw-in 10 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Renaut De Malier. In the 12th minute Aaron Du Molin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Van Haeght saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathieu-Maxim Vissenaeken hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Zandvoorde's Harrie Smidts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylvan Owerckx in the 15th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in comeback's zone, George Vereect stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gino Van Haeght came out of the goal and George Vereect tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the game, Mathieu-Maxim Vissenaeken threw the ball into play from the sideline. Zandvoorde's Frederic Polspoel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Evert Meeuwissen made in the 30th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Renaut De Malier. If Niels Berrewouts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harrie Smidts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sylvan Owerckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Philippe Francx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, George Vereect left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zandvoorde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Erik Tuytgans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Harrie Smidts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Sylvan Owerckx managed to get in a good position for a shot. comeback's supporters rose to their feet, but Sylvan Owerckx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harrie Smidts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Aaron Du Molin came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Zandvoorde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaron Du Molin couldn't finish the play. Zandvoorde's attentive Philippe Francx managed to snatch the ball when Renaut De Malier made a throw-in in the 66th minute of the game. If Philippe Francx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philippe Francx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gino Van Haeght having to interfere. Gert-Jan Grammet made in the 72nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Binjamin De Greef immediately put the ball in play. Zandvoorde's Philippe Francx quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Renaut De Malier, made in the 74th minute of the game. Binjamin De Greef sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zandvoorde's Herbert De Vreese got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Wouter Van Meerbek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes in the game, Erik Tuytgans fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Harrie Smidts having to interfere. Harrie Smidts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sylvan Owerckx in the 85th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sylvan Owerckx in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harrie Smidts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erik Tuytgans got free with Harrie Smidts in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the match, Zandvoorde's goal looked a bit too open when Sylvan Owerckx came free, but Harrie Smidts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Zandvoorde were the better team. Zandvoorde's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
