George Gyselinck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matt Tael, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute Jens Van Der Linden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Gyselinck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Ruud Poortmans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RSCA U21 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorre Van de Wal couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, RSCA U21's Corneel Van Leemputt got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Knokke-Heist's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Van Achter came free, but Alonzo Nalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute Matt Tael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Gyselinck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
