Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ferdinand Raedemaeckers, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ferdinand Raedemaeckers made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Alek De Geyter sent off a good shot on target. Edgard Diependaele didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lieven Bossuyt went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 16th minute of the match, Diego Walder tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ferdinand Raedemaeckers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 18th match minute, Tollembeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaques Raedemaeckers to maneuver through the defense. Ferdinand Raedemaeckers made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Alek De Geyter sent off a good shot on target. Jaques Raedemaeckers received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ferdinand Raedemaeckers came out and tried to block the shot, but Jaques Raedemaeckers slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 30th minute. Ron Van Aghten kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Edgard Diependaele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lieven Bossuyt, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Nicolas Van Beets managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Leuven's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Van Beets was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgard Diependaele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Van Beets in the 46th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lieven Bossuyt to make the kick off. The Racing Leuven fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferdinand Raedemaeckers should have stopped the shot. Ferdinand Raedemaeckers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. In the 92nd match minute, Racing Leuven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Van Beets to maneuver through the defense. The Tollembeek support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
