The referee ignored Zandvoorde's protests and gave George Vereect a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Zandvoorde's George Vereect got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute Aaron Du Molin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Nalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 8 minutes, Binjamin De Greef managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zandvoorde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Binjamin De Greef was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Harrie Smidts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens Van Der Linden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harrie Smidts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens Van Der Linden's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Harrie Smidts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matt Tael in the 14th minute of play. Dan Lanphan got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Thomas Dhondt. In the 23rd minute Jens Van Der Linden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harrie Smidts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Knokke-Heist's Matt Tael nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harrie Smidts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Zbyszek Kasperowicz made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Zandvoorde's Herbert De Vreese. After a rather tough play, Knokke-Heist's Matt Tael got a free kick in the 31st minute. Thomas Dhondt scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harrie Smidts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Zandvoorde booed when Knokke-Heist was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Lanphan didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens Van Der Linden in the 41st minute of play forced Zandvoorde's goalkeeper Harrie Smidts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Thomas Dhondt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

George Vereect sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niels Berrewouts couldn't finish the play. Dan Lanphan made in the 73rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Thomas Dhondt. When George Vereect came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Zandvoorde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Vereect couldn't finish the play. Jens Van Der Linden succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 78th playminute. Harrie Smidts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens Van Der Linden in the 82nd minute of the match. Zandvoorde's Herbert De Vreese quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sven Lenaerts, made in the 84th minute of the game. 87 minutes in the game Tomm Damman did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Thomas Dhondt. If George Vereect had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harrie Smidts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matt Tael in the 93rd minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Knokke-Heist had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
