Club Brugge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Dwarfs Den FC the free kick. In the 17th minute, Thibaud Mathy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Club Brugge booed when Red Dwarfs Den FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomm Smoors didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Red Dwarfs Den FC's Peter Kipsos got control of the ball when Emile Teunis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ewout De Meulder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibaut Imbrechts in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Chris-George Verdonk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Brugge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Dwarfs Den FC the free kick. Club Brugge:s Ewout De Meulder showed great skill when he stopped Jos Uyttebroeck:s penalty. After 47 minutes of play, Red Dwarfs Den FC's Jos Uyttebroeck made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ewout De Meulder was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Red Dwarfs Den FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emile Teunis was the one to do the kick off. Leopold Teurfs kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Peter Kipsos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fre Deflandre in the 64th minute of play. After 65 played minutes Club Brugge got a freekick which was hit by Leopold Teurfs. In the 67th minute, Leopold Teurfs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jos Uyttebroeck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Ewout De Meulder made a huge save. After 76 played minutes Red Dwarfs Den FC got a freekick which was hit by Norbert Van Beets. A collision led to Red Dwarfs Den FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Diederiek Louis hit a great ball. Hans Dauwe struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Peter Kipsos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Brugge. In the 80th minute, Tibaut Imbrechts made a precise shot to the right of Ewout De Meulder. Club Brugge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Club Brugge's Ewout De Meulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tibaut Imbrechts in the 87th minute of play. Fre Deflandre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Club Brugge's Ewout De Meulder got control of the ball when Jos Uyttebroeck tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Club Brugge fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Red Dwarfs Den FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
