Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) GoeBezig Vilvoorde's Sergio Vissenaeken started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gerard Dierickx made an important save on a dangerous shot by Greg De Wulf in the 3rd minute. When Greg De Wulf came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the GoeBezig Vilvoorde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Greg De Wulf couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FC Luys booed when GoeBezig Vilvoorde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nick Wijnrijx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilfried Meersman took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Quentin De Keyser. Quentin De Keyser dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Bertrand Eekhout kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gerard Dierickx. That made the score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. Gerard Dierickx had great luck who in the 30thth minute grab hold of the ball when Sergio Vissenaeken from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Gerard Dierickx made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Greg De Wulf sent off a good shot on target. GoeBezig Vilvoorde's Greg De Wulf got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC Luys's zone, Sergio Vissenaeken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerard Dierickx came out of the goal and Sergio Vissenaeken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, FC Luys's goalkeeper Gerard Dierickx had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Greg De Wulf. Sergio Vissenaeken might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerard Dierickx. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sergio Vissenaeken ran back to his position shaking his head. George Haentjens kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Gerard Dierickx acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ewout Dobbeleir. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Luys's goalkeeper Gerard Dierickx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oswald Clijsters made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, FC Luys's goal looked a bit too open when Bertrand Eekhout came free, but Gerard Dierickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 52 minutes, Basiel Van Deyck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GoeBezig Vilvoorde and the FC Luys players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Luys booed when GoeBezig Vilvoorde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basiel Van Deyck didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Wilfried Meersman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Vissenaeken in the 60th minute of play forced FC Luys's goalkeeper Gerard Dierickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Sergio Vissenaeken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GoeBezig Vilvoorde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Vissenaeken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerard Dierickx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greg De Wulf in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Sergio Vissenaeken ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerard Dierickx was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Gerard Dierickx came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by GoeBezig Vilvoorde's Sergio Vissenaeken. But to his dismay, Sergio Vissenaeken quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 78 minutes into the match, FC Luys's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Vissenaeken came free, but Gerard Dierickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Greg De Wulf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85thth minute of the game Sergio Vissenaeken who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Luys's Gerard Dierickx was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Luys's Gerard Dierickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greg De Wulf in the 89th minute of play. Sergio Vissenaeken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gerard Dierickx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. GoeBezig Vilvoorde had won after a very even match.
