Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rens Van Damme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christof Van Dock, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After 11 played minutes Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Stan Smeulders. In the 15th minute of the match KVSK Yvoir got a corner. Chelsea's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ivan De Vriendt ran over to the corner to take the kick. Christof Van Dock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rens Van Damme having to interfere. Jacob Vandeput didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Chelsea's Stan Smeulders shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 38th minute, Marnix Wans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rens Van Damme was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Philip van Hagenborgh's late challenge caught a KVSK Yvoir's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Philip van Hagenborgh helped the player get up and apologised. Philip van Hagenborgh kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Didier Demeester charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Didier Demeester the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rens Van Damme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marnix Wans in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Marnix Wans made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Chelsea booed when KVSK Yvoir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rein Van de Weijer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gery Goddez, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Marnix Wans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Rens Van Damme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Marnix Wans came free, but Rens Van Damme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Stan Smeulders's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacob Vandeput was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. 85 minutes into the match, KVSK Yvoir's goal looked a bit too open when Boudewijn Dewinter came free, but Jacob Vandeput reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Chelsea supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KVSK Yvoir's performance. The match ended with a win for KVSK Yvoir.
