Spectators: 8001 (Terracing: 6002, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Christiaan Walder kicked off to start the match. After 4 played minutes SC Montzen got a freekick which was hit by Teun Van Hemel. In the 9th minute, Kasper Pastijns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in SC Montzen's zone, Arnout Henderickx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Vermeulen came out of the goal and Arnout Henderickx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of New York Giants booed when SC Montzen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teun Van Hemel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, SC Montzen's goal looked a bit too open when Arnout Henderickx came free, but Antonio Vermeulen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Vermeulen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Verheyden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Christiaan Walder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Verheyden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Antonio Vermeulen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Christiaan Walder got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 29 minutes, Teun Van Hemel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Montzen and the New York Giants players grew even worse after the yellow card. Teun Van Hemel kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Christiaan Walder came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the SC Montzen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christiaan Walder couldn't finish the play. In the 36th match minute, SC Montzen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teun Van Hemel to maneuver through the defense. Frederik Van Geel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiaan Walder in the 38th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Christiaan Walder left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Montzen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 43rd minute, Louis Emeleers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the game, Christiaan Walder recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Frederik Van Geel. Christiaan Walder showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnout Henderickx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SC Montzen's Antonio Vermeulen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnout Henderickx in the 52nd minute of play. In the 57th minute, SC Montzen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Miguel Verheyden fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Miguel Verheyden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to New York Giants getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Armand Hemelaers hit a great ball. Christiaan Walder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christiaan Walder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederik Van Geel having to interfere. Antonio Vermeulen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Verheyden in the 72nd minute. Joonatan Stuijckens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederik Van Geel having to interfere. Christiaan Walder scored 3-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frederik Van Geel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Christiaan Walder came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the SC Montzen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christiaan Walder couldn't finish the play. Antonio Vermeulen made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Miguel Verheyden sent off a good shot on target. Christiaan Walder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernest Heirremans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederik Van Geel having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the SC Montzen players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
