Spectators: 8167 (Terracing: 6127, Seating: 1878, VIP seats: 162) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Isidoor Laureijs started the match with the kick off. Gust Rombouts hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. When Birger De Schutter came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the FC wilsele fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Birger De Schutter couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christiaan Walder in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bradly Bain prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute of the game Gustav Flocquier made a throw-in which Timur Polyanskiy played forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Isidoor Laureijs managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC wilsele's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoor Laureijs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Vermeulen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonio Vermeulen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birger De Schutter in the 27th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Isidoor Laureijs recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antonio Vermeulen. Isidoor Laureijs showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 35 minutes into the game, SC Montzen's Gust Rombouts nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bradly Bain made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Isidoor Laureijs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Antonio Vermeulen made a huge save. Christiaan Walder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 46 played minutes FC wilsele got a freekick which was hit by Isidoor Laureijs. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christiaan Walder to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Teun Van Hemel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bradly Bain. The goal made the score 1-2. Antonio Vermeulen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoor Laureijs in the 60th minute of play. Antonio Vermeulen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Birger De Schutter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, SC Montzen's Teun Van Hemel got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 76 minutes of play, FC wilsele's Isidoor Laureijs made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antonio Vermeulen was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute, Isidoor Laureijs made a precise shot to the right of Antonio Vermeulen. SC Montzen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Isidoor Laureijs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Vermeulen having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Montzen's Teun Van Hemel got a free kick in the 86th minute. Christiaan Walder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Bradly Bain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute Isidoor Laureijs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Vermeulen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC wilsele's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
