The crowd rose to their feet as Marnix Wans kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Quillian Vereect. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Bruno Van Brussel might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacob Vandeput. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruno Van Brussel ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jules Feys during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, DF Youth Academy's Jules Feys got a free kick in the 20th minute. Quillian Vereect showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rein Van de Weijer in the 24th minute of the match. Jacob Vandeput came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by DF Youth Academy's Bruno Van Brussel. But to his dismay, Bruno Van Brussel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jacob Vandeput showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Van Brussel, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbie van Elderen in the 31st minute of play forced KVSK Yvoir's goalkeeper Jacob Vandeput to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by KVSK Yvoir's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Robbie van Elderen was slow to take the kick. During this time DF Youth Academy's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Octavian Van Meirhaeghe almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KVSK Yvoir's Jacob Vandeput did a great save. DF Youth Academy's Quillian Vereect proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save DF Youth Academy from getting a goal against them. Bruno Van Brussel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Vandeput having to interfere. Jacob Vandeput stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno Van Brussel's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Robbie van Elderen made a precise shot to the right of Jacob Vandeput. KVSK Yvoir's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Roel Van Hove hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbie van Elderen in the 44th minute of play forced KVSK Yvoir's goalkeeper Jacob Vandeput to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the match, KVSK Yvoir's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie van Elderen came free, but Jacob Vandeput reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The KVSK Yvoir players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. DF Youth Academy were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robbie van Elderen to make the kick off. KVSK Yvoir's Jacob Vandeput played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robbie van Elderen in the 51st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in KVSK Yvoir's zone, Bruno Van Brussel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacob Vandeput came out of the goal and Bruno Van Brussel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quillian Vereect didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matthias van Haecht went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 63rd minute, Rein Van de Weijer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, KVSK Yvoir's Christof Van Dock got a free kick in the 71st minute. DF Youth Academy's Quillian Vereect played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marnix Wans in the 74th minute of play. DF Youth Academy's Bruno Van Brussel got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 80 minutes, Robbie van Elderen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DF Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robbie van Elderen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbie van Elderen in the 85th minute of play forced KVSK Yvoir's goalkeeper Jacob Vandeput to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christof Van Dock in the 88th minute of play forced DF Youth Academy's goalkeeper Quillian Vereect to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 played minutes KVSK Yvoir got a freekick which was hit by Christof Van Dock. When the match was over DF Youth Academy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than KVSK Yvoir throughout the match.
