Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Robbie van Elderen kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Miguel Verheyden had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quillian Vereect. DF Youth Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Verheyden was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 6th minute, Kasper Pastijns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the New York Giants defense, Robbie van Elderen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frederik Van Geel. The New York Giants fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frederik Van Geel should have stopped the shot. Miguel Verheyden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. DF Youth Academy's Quillian Vereect played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnout Henderickx in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Bruno Van Brussel managed to get in a good position for a shot. DF Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Van Brussel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frederik Van Geel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnout Henderickx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, New York Giants's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie van Elderen came free, but Frederik Van Geel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Robbie Pieters fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New York Giants's protests and gave Robbie Pieters a yellow card for diving instead. If Robbie van Elderen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnout Henderickx to strike the kick off in the second half. When Arnout Henderickx fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New York Giants's protests and gave Arnout Henderickx a yellow card for diving instead. Quillian Vereect made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Arnout Henderickx sent off a good shot on target. Frederik Van Geel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robbie van Elderen went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Robbie van Elderen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Frederik Van Geel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Bruno Van Brussel notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of New York Giants's Frederik Van Geel. Frederik Van Geel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Bruno Van Brussel came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the DF Youth Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Van Brussel couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the match, DF Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Arnout Henderickx came free, but Quillian Vereect reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Bruno Van Brussel managed to get in a good position for a shot. DF Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Van Brussel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frederik Van Geel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robbie van Elderen in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frederik Van Geel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Van Brussel in the 79th minute of play forced New York Giants's goalkeeper Frederik Van Geel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in New York Giants's zone, Robbie van Elderen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederik Van Geel came out of the goal and Robbie van Elderen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, New York Giants's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie van Elderen came free, but Frederik Van Geel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Bruno Van Brussel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Frederik Van Geel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
