With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wart Van den Berge in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evert Visch saved Groove Athletic from getting behind. Evert Visch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacky Van Linthout in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanny Castermans in the 21st minute of play forced Groove Athletic's goalkeeper Evert Visch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Kurt Dekeyser was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Groove Athletic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tikki Mo Salah the free kick. Kurt Dekeyser kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Groove Athletic defense, Roderik Worteler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evert Visch. The Groove Athletic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evert Visch should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Tikki Mo Salah's zone, Reinaud Goegebeur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wart Jans came out of the goal and Reinaud Goegebeur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute Jacky Van Linthout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert Visch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Tikki Mo Salah booed when Groove Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbrecht Uytebroeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robbrecht Uytebroeck charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robbrecht Uytebroeck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tikki Mo Salah's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
