The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yoeri Van Glabeeke helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Groove Athletic getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Yoeri Van Glabeeke hit a great ball. Evert Visch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claus Pauwels in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Van De Velden in the 22nd minute of play forced Groove Athletic's goalkeeper Evert Visch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evert Visch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Van De Velden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes of play, Groove Athletic's Reinaud Goegebeur made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steffen Verhaeghen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Reinaud Goegebeur might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steffen Verhaeghen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reinaud Goegebeur ran back to his position shaking his head. Evert Visch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent De Marrez in the 37th minute of the match. After 38 minutes Groove Athletic's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Claus Pauwels who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Claus Pauwels got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Evert Visch quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 42nd minute, Robbrecht Uytebroeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute of the match Claus Pauwels sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evert Visch skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kent De Marrez to make the kick off. Evert Visch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent De Marrez, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd match minute, Groove Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbrecht Uytebroeck to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, FuglyMugs's Mike Worteleers got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 91st minute, FuglyMugs's Jeremie De Block seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jeremie De Block the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FuglyMugs protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jeremie De Block had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 92nd minute, Jeremie De Block hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Groove Athletic's Reinaud Goegebeur couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FuglyMugs. Groove Athletic's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
