Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Reinaud Goegebeur took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Mattijs Van der Vloedt fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Groove Athletic's protests and gave Mattijs Van der Vloedt a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Boca Delvaux booed when Groove Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mattijs Van der Vloedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 9 played minutes Groove Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Bart-Jan de Pelsmaker. Godfried Van Calster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaud Goegebeur in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Jules Bauweleers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evert Visch was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Evert Visch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jules Bauweleers went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Groove Athletic's Evert Visch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Groove Athletic from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Groove Athletic's zone, Jules Bauweleers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evert Visch came out of the goal and Jules Bauweleers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evert Visch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jules Bauweleers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thobias Debock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Groove Athletic's Robbrecht Uytebroeck got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Evert Visch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thobias Debock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Godfried Van Calster showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattijs Van der Vloedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Groove Athletic's zone, Thobias Debock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evert Visch came out of the goal and Thobias Debock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charles-Antoine Vissenaeckens was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. Boca Delvaux's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 47th minute, Reinaud Goegebeur left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Groove Athletic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a little luck, Boca Delvaux's Godfried Van Calster got control of the ball when Reinaud Goegebeur tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timothy Meersmans hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. With his leg Godfried Van Calster managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Groove Athletic's Mattijs Van der Vloedt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thobias Debock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Visch having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Groove Athletic's Benoit Tuytgans got a free kick in the 67th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thobias Debock in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evert Visch saved Groove Athletic from getting behind. 70 minutes into the match, Boca Delvaux's goalkeeper Godfried Van Calster had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reinaud Goegebeur. Godfried Van Calster was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Reinaud Goegebeur showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 75 minute of play. Evert Visch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jules Bauweleers in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles-Antoine Vissenaeckens in the 80th minute of play forced Groove Athletic's goalkeeper Evert Visch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 played minutes Groove Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Youri De Raedemaeker. Thobias Debock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jules Bauweleers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
