In the 11th match minute, Darisdonk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waut Spoelberch to maneuver through the defense. Reinaud Goegebeur might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kurt Van Brussel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reinaud Goegebeur ran back to his position shaking his head. Darisdonk's Kurt Van Brussel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Limpens in the 16th minute of play. The nice shot from Reinaud Goegebeur in the 22ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Kurt Van Brussel had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Reinaud Goegebeur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Kurt Van Brussel made a huge save. Kurt Van Brussel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattijs Van der Vloedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match Reinaud Goegebeur climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Kurt Van Brussel. Reinaud Goegebeur who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Kurt Van Brussel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Reinaud Goegebeur received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kurt Van Brussel came out and tried to block the shot, but Reinaud Goegebeur slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 38th minute. Reinaud Goegebeur didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 4-0 via right post in the game's 48th minute. Groove Athletic's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brian Goegebeur to make the kick off. In the 59thth minute of the game Reinaud Goegebeur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Darisdonk's Kurt Van Brussel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kurt Van Brussel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaud Goegebeur in the 80th minute of play. With a little luck, Groove Athletic's Evert Visch got control of the ball when Nicolas Van Bostraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Groove Athletic booed when Darisdonk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jozef Van Cleijnenbreugel didn't get a good kick on the ball.
