In the 12thth minute of the game Christiaan Gielens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SK Westrozebeke's Frederick Van Lint was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bavo Imberechts hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, SK Westrozebeke's Robbe Demeyer got a free kick in the 16th minute. Peter-Jan De Koq fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederick Van Lint having to interfere. KSV Ursene's Tomm Berckmans got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 28 in the game by Christiaan Gielens from a close distance when the talented Frederick Van Lint managed to make a qualified save. SK Westrozebeke's players were relieved. When KSV Ursene's Christiaan Gielens in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Christiaan Gielens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frederick Van Lint was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dolf Tilemans in the 37th minute of play forced KSV Ursene's goalkeeper Roderik Dewitte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, SK Westrozebeke's Dolf Tilemans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roderik Dewitte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Roderik Dewitte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dolf Tilemans in the 41st minute of play. A collision led to KSV Ursene getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Tibau Gillis hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Dolf Tilemans made the kick off in the second half. Christiaan Gielens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 53 minutes, Peter-Jan De Koq managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KSV Ursene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter-Jan De Koq was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th minute, Emanuel Van den Bossche left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KSV Ursene fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Tomm Berckmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Peter-Jan De Koq fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederick Van Lint having to interfere. After 66 minutes SK Westrozebeke's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emanuel Van den Bossche who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Emanuel Van den Bossche got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Frederick Van Lint quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in KSV Ursene's zone, Jannick Van Der Linden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roderik Dewitte came out of the goal and Jannick Van Der Linden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emanuel Van den Bossche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SK Westrozebeke's Karel-Jan Verhagen got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christiaan Gielens in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frederick Van Lint prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Christiaan Gielens put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Frederick Van Lint. There was no doubt that KSV Ursene were the better team. KSV Ursene's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
